    Handsome fold-out Exxon road map of the western United States, printed more than 39 years ago.
    This map opens to 23½" x 36½" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the General Drafting Company.
    The southern section is on one side; the northern is on the other. The coverage area includes Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. There are inset plans of Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
    The map was distributed by Exxon in 1976 and is dated in the legend. The code on the back cover is W876. The front cover artwork features four historical vignettes in recognition of the nation's bicentennial. On the back cover Exxon's trademark tiger offers tips for motorists.
