1998 Honda Z50R
Rebuilt front forks with new genuine Honda bushings. I say rebuilt because the lowers were loose and bent. I bought donor forks that had good lowers and used those after cleaning them up. They are solid with no wobble and the lowers are straight. The stem and bearings were greased. Upper tubes were stripped to bare metal and painted with genuine Honda Shasta White and cleared, as well as the top clamp. New fork boots, and rubber end caps are NOS genuine Honda. Swingarm has new Shasta White paint and clear, except the part where the original label is. Axles were greased. Most washers, nuts, and bolts were cleaned up. Handlebars got new Shasta White and clear. They are straight. New Genuine Honda NOS rear fender plastic. New Genuine Honda NOS front fender. New reproduction front number plate. New carburetor, not original. Wheels painted genuine Honda Shasta White and clear. The front wheel has paint imperfections on one side from installing the brake hub on the wrong side the first time. At a can I chose to leave it and not buy another can of Shasta White paint. The tank is near perfect on the outside and absolutely beautiful on the inside. All I did was clean and polish the outside. Original tank graphics. The original seat pan, foam, and cover are perfect. New Genuine Honda NOS shift lever. New Genuine Honda NOS front brake lever. New reproduction lower rear shock acorn nuts. Some gloss black and flat black parts were sanded and repainted. No rubber has any dry rot. No wires have been cut or spliced. Brakes looked near new when the hubs were off. Original engine has never been rebuilt or messed with. It starts, runs, and shifts great. Original chain and sprockets were solvent cleaned. New Genuine Honda NOS lower metal chain guide/guard. Upper plastic chain guard is original and nice. Frame is original paint and pretty nice. Not a full restoration but there has been a lot of work done and a lot of money spent. This bike is very nice and very close to original. You will not find another one this nice. Second to last year of production. There is no title. I will be happy to write up a bill of sale.
