Who we are and what makes us qualified to make climbing holds:
We are small team of engineers and commercial gym route setters with over 10 years of experience in engineering design and manufacturing. We’re passionate about our holds and climbing on them! We love constantly testing the holds on our home wall and now our holds have been used in 2 Commercial climbing gyms at both Summit Climbing in Denton Texas and OSO Climbing Gyms in Dallas Texas!
    How we make our holds:
Our holds are designed by engineers, route setters and artists using a combination of 3D CAD and Sculpting software. The holds are then manufactured using 100% high strength polyurethane. We embed the holds with galvanized steel flat washers and/or stainless steel countersunk washers for extra strength and durability. We use Alumilite RC-3 specifically formulated for rock climbing holds (Tensile Strength (ASTM D-638) (psi) 5,000).
Home wall Guide and Getting Started
Screw on Vs. Bolt on Holds:
Please check the listing titles for either “screw on” or “bolt on”. Also, the thumbnail photos will be two different colors to help differentiate between the two. The Screw on holds are pictured in turquoise.
Our screw on holds are made to be used with #8 wood screws. Screw on holds are great if you don’t want to deal with T-nuts or if you want to fill in space between your bolt on holds. They can be fastened directly to the wall using wood screws only.
Bolt on style holds are made to be used with 3/8” bolts and #8 set screws. They’re great for people who want to change their routes often but will require an initial investment and installation of T-Nuts. It’s a good idea to set up a grid of T-Nuts similar to a climbing gym and it’s best to do this before the plywood is mounted to the frame. It’s for this reason that we Do Not provide T-Nuts.
Screws and/or bolts can be included for an additional charge.
    Our Fasteners:
The fasteners we provide, both screws and bolts, are designed to work with ¾” thick plywood. If you’re using something else you may want to order hardware separately to suit your needs. Our bolts and screws have a black oxide finish perfect for indoor use, if the holds are being used outside we recommend ordering fasteners elsewhere in stainless steel or with a galvanized finish.
    The wall:
We used a sturdy frame of 2x6 and 2x4 pressure treaded lumber and then mounted ¾” thick plywood fitted with a grid of 3/8”-16 T-nuts for the climbing surface. The T-nuts are not necessary if you are using Screw on Holds only.
    Shipping:
We have combined shipping set up so any orders over ship for free. Canadian shipping is set at a flat rate of USD per order. If you have any issues please let us know, we are still working out the kinks.
We’ll either have a 5 or 10 day handling time set depending on the volume of orders. We’ll do our best to get the holds to you quickly but we are a small company so sometimes it’s difficult to keep up.
