A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog" 2 Inch 50th Anniversary Challange Coin(s)

These are 2" challenge coins were made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first flight of the iconic A-10 Thunderbolt II Warthog and it's continuing service in the USAF. On the front is the iconic A-10 mascot in front of the American flag. On his arm is a "tattoo" of the A-10 with the dates 1973-2023. 1973 was the year of the first flight of the AX-10 and 2023 is of course 50 years later and the A-10 is still flying in front line service. It's done in red, white, blue and the 50th Anniversary color of gold. The back is completely gold with gold accents on the front. I posted two photos of the back because it's so shinny it's hard to capture the gold color and the phrase of " Peace Through Superior Fire Power."
