candle makers (wa Rosoku / rousoku)
Nicely hand carved and painted candle graphics and characters on solid wood.
Wax making industries flourished during Edo and Meiji periods.
Approximately 6.75 wide, 35.625 tall, 0.75 thick (inches)
1 sided. Back side is blank.
Hole with ornamental hardware on top for hanging on wall
Very good condition, well preserved. Paint has wear in some areas but overall bright and clear.
