Frisch's operates or franchise's 121 Big Boy restaurants in the U.S.  Shoney's have locations in 17 states, primarily in the South with Locations
in the Midwest, and lower Mid-Atlantic states since 1947.
Big Boy also has 274 restaurant's in Japan.
