PERFECT SIZE AND TEXTURE Large enough to easily hold with the whole hand. The texture provides good friction for grabbing, yet it is smooth enough to prevent skin damage on the hands.Their texture is better than the natural rock or wood, which actually, become slippery when they are wet or aged.
BOMBER ATTACHMENT - Every hold has two attachment holes; one for attaching the hold in place (with a 3/8-16 x 2-in SOCKET HEAD CAP SCREW, Not provided) and a smaller one to stabilize it (with a screw, not provided) avoiding it from turning while climbing. Tightening torques: 34-41 ft/lb (25-30 Nm) for Medium size holds.

One for the main attachment screw and a second smaller one for the anti-spin screw, which avoids the spin of the hold while climbing. Small holds mostly have only one main attachment hole, though some have a similar anti-spin screw hole depending on their shapes.Required hardware to install Kandi Hold Jugs (which is not included in the package) consists of; one 3/8-16 x 2-in socket head cap screw as the main attachment screw, one matching screw-in T-nut 3/8-16 threat, requiring 7/16-in drill hole, and one 8 x1-in flat head Phillips wood screw as an anti-slip screw. Required tools for the installation are a power drill, an optional drill bit guide, a 7/16 spaded drill bit, a torque wrench, a 5/16 hex socket head, a Phillips screwdriver, and a couple of 3/8-16 nuts with a 3/8-in ID steel washer to produce an improvised nut securing tool. Drill holes should be at least 4-in distant from any edge of the plywood (or wood) panel. Individual holds may be 10-in to 2 ft. distant from each other, though they even may be closer or distant. It is advisable to drill the holes before the installation of the panel. An optional drill guide can be used to drill perfectly perpendicular holes, which are essential for the installation of the holds.Every panel back should have a minimum of 2-in clearance from other structural components (to allow enough space for any other screw longer than 2-in if used). T-nuts can be hammered carefully for the alignment eighter making them flush to the panel or just inserting with a right angle in order to finish the job with an improvised puller tool.A puller tool can be easily made with two contra-nuts and a washer on a screw. Tightening this screw will pull the T-nut to make it flush to the panel. This is important in order to avoid frequent re-tightening of the hold screws. - Some woods are soft though, and the T-nut may sink into the wood requiring re-tightening after some time of use.For proper tightening the screws consider a torque wrench. Small holds must be torqued to 27-34 ft/lb (20-25Nm), Medium holds require 34-41 ft/lb (25-30 Nm) torque and Large holds require 34-47 ft/lb (25-35 Nm) torque. If you don't have a torque wrench, a moderate tight should be applied since holds will be stable with the use of an anti-spin screw. Over-tightening can harm both holds and the panel. Finally the anti-spin screw should be screwed. - a slight grip on the panel will do the job.
