    Description

    Fire coral earned its name not from the way it looks, but the way it feels if you happen to touch a living piece when swimming, diving or wading in the sea.
    Fire corals are members of the Cnidaria phylum, and although fire coral looks like coral, it is a member of the class Hydrozoa and is actually more closely related to jellyfish and other stinging anemones.
    This is a substantially sized and beautifully formed cluster, which has been cut on its base, so it stands firmly upright. It is 12" long, 12" high and 8" wide, and weighs 15.4 lbs. As you can see in the photos, it looks great from any angle. (Note picture #5 is looking straight down into the piece.)
    A fine piece of coral like this adds a natural touch of marine decor to any room or office.
