Magnetic Zip Tie Holder - 3D Printed - Many Colors

Description

This is a magnetic holder with a hole through to accommodate a zip tie. If you can't find a standard holder for whatever you're planning, then this is the holder for you! The hole is a little over 1/4" which should fit most light to medium duty zip ties. The dimensions are 1 3/4" W x 1" L x 1" H. The curvature on the front is appropriate to accommodate from smaller to larger diameter objects. This holder is ideal for tubing, piping, heaters etc. The magnets are pre-coated resin neodymium N50 high strength magnets capable of holding on less than 1/2" glass (1/2" will probably work).

If this size/orientation doesn't work for you please contact me and I can modify this to your needs. If you use with a glass heater, make sure to not over tighten the zip tie so as to not break the heater. Use caution with any application.
If no color is specified in the order note, a black one will be sent out by default.

Clear PLA, i.e. PLA with no color pigmentation added which makes it translucent, is also available. Leave a note with your order that you want "Clear" as color if desired.

* Clear color is essentially PLA with no added color. It's translucent but not transparent (like glass or acrylic).

Please note that these are 3D printed parts. That means that the surface finish quality of the part will not be directly comparable to an injection molded part. Although not very common, there might be small surface finish defects, or rough spots. The goal is to have a fully functional, as described part. This disadvantage to 3D printing is reflected on my pricing as well. Polished surface finishes, is definitely something that can be achieved to a certain degree with 3D printed parts, but it's a time consuming process, something that definitely cannot be offered for the price range my products go for.
Material Selection: Some arguments have been made about pigmentation in PLA filament and it's effects in water in case of leeching. You can order “Clear (transluscent)” parts which is PLA free of any pigments. Just leave a note in your order that you want "Clear" parts. I have personally used black PLA in my tank for many years with nothing but success. You can also ask for PETG if you are concerned about durability of the PLA part. Just contact me.
