    Description

Nippon, likely Shimamura Floral Multicolor Moriage Candlestick.  Very pretty porcelain candlestick with handle. Nicely decorated with large hand painted flowers in pink and purple on cranberry background. With pale blue enameled moriage beaded highlights to the flowers. The rest of the candlestick is decorated in green with small white moriage beads and larger moriage decoration in pink, green, and dark and light blue. Unmarked, but probably made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain, circa 1891 to 1921. Possibly by Shimamura. Very minor loss to the moriage, with a few tiny chips around base and drip tray. Measures 6.75" wide x 6.5" tall. This is an antique and may have small  manufacturing defects that do not effect the displayability of the piece. Please look carefully at photos.
