Antique Japanese Roof Tile- ornamental - I put it on the wall of my garden. Purchased at auction 30 years ago. Age 1800s - excellent for age - depth 5 1/2 inches, width 17 1/2
- roof tiles can be traced back to late 6th century when they were introduced to Japan from China and Korea
Cloud and water design is meant  to encourage rain and discourage fire
Designed to fir over the gable of a roof.
