  • Condition: This wonderful vintage piece of North Carolina School of Mines UND Pottery is in EXCELLENT and even MINT CONDITION! Hand made during the Stickley Arts & Crafts Period.

    Description

    Wow!  The color of this piece of North Dakota School of Mines Pottery UND is incredible!  It was difficult to capture this lilac or lavender color.  Fully signed on the bottom as shown in the photo's.  This vintage piece of pottery is ARTIST SIGNED, FLH, which indicates it was made by Frieda L Hammers who was meticulous in her pottery work.  Sometimes she worked closely with Flora Huckfield where both worked on the same pot; one threw the pot and the other glazed it.  The number 490, hand written on the bottom, indicates that this piece was made in 1930.  It is 3 and 1/4" high by almost 3 and 1/4" diameter at the top and almost 3 and 3/4" across at the widest point.  It is in EXCELLENT and even perhaps Mint CONDITION!  Extraordinary color and condition especially for a pot this age!  Arts & Crafts Period pottery, Stickley furniture, Roycroft metalware, etc. was the design preferred in the 1930's and still popular today for its fine craftsmanship.

PLEASE NOTE that there is glare and reflections on the photo's and it was difficult to capture the great color.  This North Dakota School of Mines art pottery vase would make a great addition to your Arts & Crafts Period pottery collection and should truly please the most discriminating collector!  A very sweet piece of North Dakota pottery.
