State of Kentucky Historical Documents

Description

This document measures 10-1/2 x 11-1/2 inches. The document is signed  July  12th 1924.  The title is "Commonwealth of Kentucky".  The document appoints Lige Upton Aide-de-Camp on the Governors staff with rank and grade of colonel.  The appointment is signed Henry  H, Denhardt, Governor,  the secretary of state and the assistant secretary of state. The document also has a water stain upper left hand corner. I do not know if the frame is period.  If you have any questions please contact me.  Thank for your interest.  The Governor has a checkered past accused of murder 1936 released on bail hung jury, never went  to the second trial, he was shot in a hotel room.
