TONGA Scott # 101, 104 & 105 stamps tied by February 12, 1964 Niuafo'ou cds on Matson Line cacheted cover sent to Winfield, Kansas. Exhibitor Notes: 'In 1964, Monterey's sister ship, Mariposa joined her in Pacific cruises, from San Francisco to Sydney, via Honolulu, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga and New Zealand. Mariposa ceased Western Pacific cruises in 1967, transferring to Hawaii and North Pacific.' This cover comes from mariposa's initial Tin Can drop at Niuafo'ou on February 12, 1964.
