Vintage Commercial Laundry Machine, 1946 Bishop Shirt Folder Machine
Vintage Commercial Laundry Machine, 1946 Bishop Shirt Folder Machine
This commercial shirt folding machine was manufactured by Bishop Freeman Co. in Evanston, Illinois, patented 1946. This is the Model B1-302, the pedal-operated Bishop Shirt folder with a "rapid fold mechanism". The machine is comprised of a sheet steel housing and includes 3 sheet metal shelves mounted above the unit for organizing the user's tools and folded shirts.
Condition: Good for age and use. To function, electricity and pneumatics are required. We are unable to fully test this machine for functionality as we do not have an air line to connect. The electronics function properly, however. Surface rust is present on the front right foot of the folder. The finish shows moderate wear, revealing the raw steel below in some areas.
Salvage history: This shirt folder was salvaged from a former dry cleaning and laundry facility in Roanoke, Virginia.
Weight: 125 lbs.
Item Measurements: 25.85(L) x 32(W) x 67.75(H)
