    This is a vintage Japanese copper incense case, Kogo, which was
    made by a great sculptor, Seibo Kitamura (1884-1987)
    about 40 years ago.
    He is a very great potter, who
    won the Order of Culture from Japanese Government as one of the greatest sculptors in 1958.
    He is very famous as the sculptor of the 10-meter-tall Peace Statue in NAGASAKI Peace Park.
    This is made of alloyed copper. A lion is molded. The signature of the artisan is carved on the body.
    The original wooden storage box wit the signature of the artisan is also included.
